The Viper Club Comes to Hotel Denver
Fast Cars and Sunshine

Owners of Dodge Vipers from around the country converged in Glenwood Springs at Hotel Denver over Memorial Day weekend. They enjoyed the scenery and the amazing roadways in the valley including Independence Pass, Redstone, Mclure Pass and Highway 82.
The Viper Club’s stay included a trip to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for lunch and a mingle. The participants were also fortunate to have excellent weather conditions, apart from a bit of wind which is normal for this time of the year.
The group leader boasts that this is the best year the Viper Club has ever had in Glenwood Springs and promises to return again next year. The north parking lot at Hotel Denver was reserved for the 15 Dodge Vipers of all flashy colors. Locals and visitors alike strolled through the parking lot checking out the clean machines.
The management at Hotel Denver and at the Glenwood Canyon Brewing Company gave the group high marks and hopes that they will return again next year with possibly more participants.

The practice of allowing dogs at a hotel seems to be on a downward trend. I recently took a trip to Utah and Arizona and I was amazed at the number of hotels that do not accept pets. In fact they announce it from their marquis. I found it very inconvenient, as I enjoy traveling with my two dogs. And they love to be in a nice clean hotel room and if they are happy, I am happy.

The trail is designed to take hikers on a journey as if they were a firefighter climbing to a fire. The memorial trail was left steep and rough allowing visitors to experience something similar to what firefighters encounter.
