Twenty Six years of racing in the streets of Glenwood Springs
Glenwood Springs is great for movie locations and even better for vacations
Looking for a blockbuster vacation full of action, adventure…and relaxation?
Think Glenwood Springs.
If there is one thing Glenwood Springs has in common with Hollywood it’s action and adventure!
Hollywood filmmakers have used Glenwood Springs, known for its accessible waterfalls, majestic mountains, and beautiful canyons, as a back drop for several films such as Runaway Stage Coach, filmed here in 1902, and the recent Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. And while the city continues to draw producers for its scenic beauty, it is also a great place to vacation.
And while nature plays a starring role in most of our adventures, we think the best way to tell you about them is to do it like the movie business would do it.
Hollywood often uses different methods to describe films to give audiences a general idea what the film is about. For instance, if they described the spy fiction thriller Bourne Identity they might say, “It’s James Bond with amnesia!”
So here is how Hollywood might describe our attractions:
Or maybe your vacation needs a new genre:
Flying, swimming, biking, climbing, zipping, riding, floating…just like the movies.
But the best way to describe a Glenwood Springs vacation?
Oscar-worthy.
Make Glenwood Springs part of your coming attractions.

Plenty to do and see in Glenwood Springs
I was talking to one of my guests today and he was telling me about his travel plans. He and his family wanted to go to Aspen for a few nights but made a change because he needed to have some work done on his car. While he was in Glenwood Springs he checked into Hotel Denver with his family of three.
After the first night he decided that they didn’t really want to go to Aspen after all. He wanted to spend the next two nights at Hotel Denver. Why? Well, I’ll tell you.
He found that the friendliness, cleanliness and overall comforting feel of Glenwood Springs was very satisfying. Not to mention all the money he saved. He ended up spending a delightful evening at the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool with his wife and kids, frolicking in the warm water under the stars. He said he felt like a kid again. He capped off the night with a fine dinner at the Glenwood Canyon Brewing Company with their award winning burgers and beers and a few sodas for the kids. He said he hadn’t slept that well in years after such an enjoyable day and evening.
He told me that Glenwood Springs has everything that Aspen has to offer and more…and at a fraction of the price. He said that everywhere he went in Glenwood, he was greeted genuinely and warmly. Treatment he apparently hadn’t had in Aspen in his previous visits. He said that he will be back and will tell his friends to stop in Glenwood Springs and avoid the high prices and attitude that Aspen has been known for in some instances.
Yes, we have it all here. Skiing, fishing, golf, biking, Hotel Denver, The Hot Springs Pool, great places to eat, friendly people, affordable rates, great location and fabulous scenery. In the words of my guest "Everything I wanted and more…I’ll be back".
