Join in the 33rd annual Strawberry Shortcut race in Glenwood Springs

Are you a runner looking for a mountainous town race? Then come run in the Strawberry Shortcut and join the festivities of Strawberry Days celebration in Glenwood Springs! This race begins downtown Glenwood Springs and takes you through the town, parks, and quaint subdivisions of Glenwood. The race is finished on 7^th street right by the historic Hotel Denver and train station.

Even if you are not a runner and just looking for a fun family event, this race suits all by providing a 10K, 5K, and a 1-mile fun run/walk option.

Date:           Sunday, June 20, 2010

Race Times: 10K @ 7 a.m.

                   5K @ 8:15 a.m.

                   1-Mile fun run/walk @ 9:30 a.m.

Start Location: Centennial Park located on 9^th Street and Grand Avenue

End Location: 7^th Street near the Hotel Denver

Come hit the pavement in this fun filled race and join the town’s biggest celebration of the year!

Four guests comment on their stay at The Hotel Denver

This week at The Hotel Denver we had more great feedback from our guests. Room 316 guests said we are “close to the train station, nice, clean, a touch of old time charm, with a nice brewpub”.  They also appreciated the shuttle over the bridge under construction and Jason at the front desk.  The Hotel’s Going Green Program caught the attention of a guest in Room 314.  Guests are offered $5 in the Brewpub if they want to save natural resources by foregoing housekeeping service for a day. She “Loves the program! Everyone should do this.” 442 commented on “Superior service and so clean”.  They are absolutely planning a return and are already thinking of dates.  A great idea generated by one of our guest was a wine bar in the lobby. That sounds delightful.
