Glenwood Springs Adventure Park

Gravity Roller Coaster – Need we say more… Glenwood Springs Adventure Park is a unique family attraction located at the top of Iron Mountain in historic Glenwood Springs.  To reach the Adventure Park, simply step aboard the Iron Mountain Tram, located adjacent to the The Hotel Glenwood Springs.  Upon reaching the tram summit you’ll have a variety of attractions and thrill rides to choose from including Tours of the Historic Fairly Caves.

CANYON FLYER

Think of everything you love about roller coasters–the exhilarating speed; racing around tight turns; flying over bumps and waves.

Now imagine that you are in full control of your speed, you are riding alone or with a friend in your own individual car, and you are cruising down an alpine slope surrounded by Colorado’s gorgeous scenery. Welcome to the Canyon Flyer, the first alpine coaster in the United States!

The Canyon Flyer will race you down 3,400 feet until you gradually come to a gentle stop. While you are pulled back up the 1,000 feet to the starting point, you can relax, enjoy the surrounding wildflowers, and think about your next rip-roaring trip down the mountain!  Unlike typical alpine slides, the Flyer can make hair-pin turns and can operate year round due to its track system.

SWING SHOT

Ready for a screaming thrill ride soaring above Glenwood Springs? Launch yourself out into Glenwood Canyon, 1,300 feet above the Colorado River, on the Swing Shot! If you’re brave enough to open your eyes, your views of the Canyon and Glenwood Springs are breathtaking as you soar through the air at speeds up to 50 miles per hour. The Swing Shot’s safety harness can accommodate up to four riders at a time, so you can share the adrenaline rush with friends.

BUNGEE TRAMPOLINE

Coming this summer! Jump, twist, and soar through the air on our bungee trampoline! Once you’re strapped snugly into the safety harness, start to jump as you would on any trampoline. The bungee cords allow you to jump higher and higher, adding somersaults and back flips, then returning back to the trampoline with each bounce.

4D RIDE THEATER

Enjoy the first 4D theater in Colorado – with moving seats, surround sound, and special effects that make you feel like you’re actually inside the movie! From traversing the mountain with snow blowing in your face, to a wild and wet beach-crossing – you’re in for some terrific fun.
The 4D Ride Theater features three films by digital innovators Wave Studios. Combining thrill-ride action with digital animation, it’s a wild sensory experience you’ll never forget. Included in the Day Pass.

DOC’S ROCKA

32-foot climbing wall with five challenging routes of varying difficulty. Textured surfaces and fossils add to the climbing fun. Included in the Day Pass.

DISCOVERY ROCK

Discovery Rock is a fun learning experience for kids. Discover the magic of geology while panning for gemstones in the running water of the mining sluice box. Little ones can search for treasures or just play in our fossil dig sandbox.

DEMON THE BULL

Ride Demon, the Adventure Park’s mechanical bull, for a taste of the old West! With rides from mild to wild, riders of all ages can pick the intensity level that suits them best.  Included in the Day Pass.

LASER TAG

Round up the whole gang for a new-fangled old West shoot-out using the latest in wireless laser technology – a great group activity for birthday parties and team-building. Included in the Day Pass.

FORT WHEREAMI MAZE

New this year! Ready, set, go! Kids will love finding their way through the labyrinth of twists and turns in this fort-style maze. They’ll race against the clock and each other for fun and prizes.  Included in the Day Pass.

WILD WEST WAGON

Wagons ho! Climb aboard our new Wild West Adventure Wagon and travel back in time to the days when cowboys and Conestoga wagons roamed the mountains. You’ll feel the wagon bouncing on the bumpy trail and the wind rushing by as the narrator describes your journey. You might even duck when you hear bandits approaching! This simulated wagon experience lasts about five minutes and is suitable for all ages   Included in the Day Pass.

Take a step back in time with a visit to our Old Tyme Photography Studio, and you’ll leave with a memory to treasure for years to come. We have costumes to fit all shapes and sizes, from newborns on up, plus all the props and backdrops you need to create the perfect souvenir. Prices start at $22.
