Sunlight Mountain Stables is affordable and family oriented. Sunlight has hundreds of acres for trail riding, and the chance to let your horse run free in wide open fields. Sunlight Stables summit on Compass Mountain in the White River National Forest, overlooks majestic Mount Sopris and the awe inspiring Elk Mountain Range. You will be awed by the surroundings on your quaint ride through the mountains.

On your tour through the White River National Forest be sure to keep your eyes open so you do not miss any of the breathtaking views. Surrounded by aspens and wild flowers, this horseback ride is like none other. Your guide is fully knowledgeable on the massive and muscular animals that you will be riding. Therefore you have no need to worry about getting lost, getting spooked, or anything like that. It is your guides job to ensure your ride is the safest and most fun that it can possibly be.
One Hour Horseback Ride
We take pride in giving Beginner and Intermediate horseback riders the chance to enjoy the same spectacular
experience as those more advanced horseback riders. With a brief orientation to the horses and riding, and with our trained tour guides, this experience is sure to give even the most timid rider a new found confidence! Our scenic, family-friendly guided trail ride starts at the Sunlight Stables, adjacent to Sunlight Mountain Resort, high in the
beautiful White River National Forest. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Please bring water, snacks and sunscreen. Water is also available at the Sunlight Stables. Must be 7 years of age or older. No double riders allowed.
Child Half Hour Pony Ride
